The two panels are cast in aluminum and represent the rich industrial and social heritage of the area.

Panel 1.
The focus of this panel is the story of the Besses o the barn Band a famous band still in existence today, the band is framed by past industrial buildings and the All Saints church at Stand which was designed by a young Charles Barry known for his design of the Palace of Westminster.

Panel 2.
This panel depicts the washer women resplendent in a white field at the Lilly Hill steam laundry a wonderful scene that captured my imagination.
The tradesman, masons and blacksmiths on the left are all from Whitefield some of which still have family in the area.
